La madre vela – and the candlelight service

Two sponsors of new chapters have asked me this year where to find the big candle for the ceremony. Another teacher gave me one to use several years ago but we lost it this year, so I will be looking for a new one next year, too. Any ideas on where to get a nice one?
Also, I’ve heard several people say that they can’t do the candle-lighting because of fire codes. What are people doing instead? (in case we run into it since we are thinking about a change of venue)
